BARK has four main areas of operation around Bohol.

BARK Shelter

The BARK shelter is a safe refuge for dogs rescued from abuse, abandonment and injury. Our no-kill free-range shelter is a happy haven for dogs of all ages.

Dogs of Alona

Dogs of Alona is our community TNRM (Trap / Neuter / Release / Manage) project located in Alona, Danao and Dumaluan beaches in Panglao.

City Pound

We provide the dogs impounded in the Tagbilaran City Pound with daily food and water to try to ease their suffering as much as possible.

Advocacy

From grass-roots education in communities to partnerships with government, we fight for better animal welfare and population management strategies.

About BARK

BARK is the only animal rescue and shelter organisation in Tagbilaran, Bohol, Philippines. Aside from the shelter, our long-term projects include daily feeding in the city pound and TNRM at several locations in Panglao.

Our mission is to promote responsible and humane ownership of all animals; to save the lives and provide a safe place for abused, abandoned, and tortured animals; to provide a loving safe haven for abused, abandoned, and tortured animals; and to promote adoption of companion animals in loving forever homes.

We currently have 17 puppies and 10 kittens in our care. Little babies mount up big costs! We need to feed, house, vaccinate, and spay/neuter them before they can be put up for adoption.
